👣 INKLESS PRINTS 👣

We are currently working with the lovely people at @keepsakeco to help spread the word of their gorgeous products. Stage 1 of our #collaboration was to get some prints from Otis. I decided to try a hand and a foot to see how they come out! It was so easy and quick to do; we just wiped the hand and foot with a special wipe included in the pack and then place the chosen body part on to the special paper for 3 seconds. Otis was absolutely mesmerised, he couldn’t get his head around the magic! He kept looking at his foot and couldn’t figure out why it was making a print when there was nothing on it 😂 luckily the kit comes with 2 pages of the special paper so there was room for error in his excitement of continuously stamping his hand down the first time 🙈 I was surprised how easy it was, even Precious the cat got involved and gave us a paw-print too! 🐾

Stage 2 of this process is to return our prints to @keepsakeco where they will be used to create a special piece of keepsake jewellery. I’m so excited to see how it turns out and can’t wait to share more of this process with you all!

📦 MODU 📦

We are very proudly working with @modu.dk to help them spread the word about their amazing products!

We received this amazing package yesterday and have had lots of fun playing with it this morning. @modu.dk create construction toy sets of various sizes and shapes that inspire imagination, creativity, open-ended and active play. The sets come with various building blocks, pegs, wheels, an instruction manual and a peg bag. The toy is long-lasting due to its versatile nature which means it will grow with Otis and encourage and support him in every stage of his development.

What I personally love about it is how interactive it is. Otis and I had hours of fun together with the “explorer” kit today and it really did allow us to bond. Together, we turned it into a rocker, a tilted and also a rider! Otis’ favourite was definitely the rocker and he kept saying “see-saw” as he rocked on it, also telling me how fast it was going. I can’t wait to turn the pieces into an obstacle course for him too and help him learn about balance and develop more gross motor skills. This kit comes with 21 pieces and is available in 3 colours. 🌟 WHEN A STAR IS BORN 🌟

There’s no bigger life-changing moment than the day you become parents. That one day becomes the day you think about most, talk about most and treasure the most. This is why I love what @mapsformoments do – they provide you with a star map of the sky from your location on a date of your choice.

We were very kindly gifted one of their maps and so of course we chose to document the day our very own little star was born. However I think it would be just as special to have chosen the date and location of when we got engaged or married too!

We were able to customise our map by choosing the background colour, frame details, wording as well as adding grid and constellation options.

📚 MUMMY, I LOVE YOU 📚

Otis and I were very kindly gifted this very lovely book from @jjgiftbooks called “Mummy, I love you”. It has adorable illustrations and each page has a place for us to add our own photos of us doing activities together. Otis always loves seeing photos of himself so this was a great opportunity to document the daily things we do together whilst also engaging him in the rhyming words of the book. It’s such a lovely way to focus on our moments together, just him and his mummy, before the new baby arrives.

🎅🏼 INTRODUCING SANTA🎅🏼

I have recently been talking to Otis about Santa frequently to try and help him understand Christmas a bit more and what will happen. He’s at an age now where he’s starting to get it!

I got him more involved today by practicing doing our tray that we will leave out for Santa. It’s a good job this was a practice run because Otis didn’t quite understand he had to leave the items on the tray for someone else 🙈 (swipe to see).

🐒 MONKEYING AROUND 🐒

During today’s nap time, I caught Otis monkeying around with his new friend from @bears4ucouk 🐵 how cute is his new personalised monkey though?! 😍 did you know that @bears4ucouk have a HUGE range of teddies that can be personalised for your little ones. 🐳 SWIMMING 🦈

Otis absolutely loves swimming and is not afraid of water at all. We credit that to taking him to swimming lessons since he was very small which built his water confidence. We have both agreed after seeing how fearless he is and how much he enjoys it, that we will take the new baby from a young age too.

What Otis loves to do the most is push himself around on his hands and knees, rolling over and splashing and kicking about as he chases his toys. He doesn’t care if his head goes under and just carries on.

He was recently gifted this gorgeous swim nappy from @swimbubs which is perfect for his water shenanigans. ⭐️ OUR SHINING STAR 💫

We are very proud of our son, there’s no hiding that. Our whole lives now revolve around Otis, his personality and his milestones and we are obsessed with him. For this reason when the lovely people at @nameastar offered us the opportunity to name a star after him, I jumped at the chance! Otis is extremely lucky and has been gifted a name deed for an extra bright star in his name. We got to choose the constellation and so I chose Pisces as that is his star sign and I added his date of birth as that’s the day our very own shining star was born!

I was able to add a personalised message to his deed so I wrote a reminder to him that “no matter how far apart we may be at times, we will always be under the same sky”.

The Deed comes displayed in a beautiful walnut brown frame and in a very protective gift box. It also came with a sky atlas to show us all the constellations and where they are, which I have been fascinated by myself. In addition to this we were sent a close up of the pieces constellation and a map showing exactly where Otis’ star is in that constellation. Otis has also been sent lots of information and fact sheets about our universe that I’m sure he will enjoy learning from when he’s older.

What I think is really lovely is that the confirmation letter informs us that our service with @nameastar is an ongoing experience and we are able to track our star in real-time via their website by using our reference number. I think Otis will find this so exciting!
